Veterans oppose Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy
Two prominent veterans groups said they are not in favor of President Obama’s plan to put an end to the policy banning openly homosexual men and women from serving in the military.
President Obama has made it clear he wants to change the laws so gay people can serve openly in the military.
The two groups – Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion – have a combined membership of approximately 15 million.

Majority of Americans view abortion as wrong
America is trending pro-life. A Knights of Columbus-Marist survey finds 58 percent of those in the “Millennial” group (18-29 years old) agreed with the statement that abortion is “morally wrong.” Fifty-one percent of Baby Boomers (those 45-64) and 60 percent of Gen X’ers (30-44) feel the same.

James Dobson to launch new show
James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, has announced plans to launch a new radio show with his son in March, saying he cannot watch the world continue to fall into a moral decline without offering guidance.
Dobson, 73, is severing ties with Focus at the end of February after 33 years of leadership. This decision, he said, was essential for passing along the leadership of the ministry to a younger generation.

Obama nominee have Christian identity
Erroll Southers, whom President Obama has nominated to head the Transportation Security Administration, described groups that were a domestic security threat as being “anti-abortion” and “Christian-identity oriented.”
The TSA, an element of the Department of Homeland Security, is responsible for the security of the nation’s transportation systems, including commercial air travel. Southers made the remarks in question during a 2008 video interview with the Videojug.com Web site.
Barney Frank says Fannie ‘too high’
The Obama administration recently approved base salaries of $900,000, plus $3.1 million in deferred payments, and another $2 million in bonuses for the CEOs of the failed mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. When asked if tax dollars should pay those bonuses, or if they should be cancelled, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), told CNSNews.com that the bonuses were “too high” but “nothing can be done now.”
Ex-pornographer uses Internet for gospel
Godbeat Media Group has announced the official launch of Godbeat.tv, a family-friendly environment akin to YouTube. Users can upload and share videos and personal stories. They can create profiles and video blogs and share homemade footage of their band and other artists, their church and youth groups, and so forth. But unlike YouTube and similar video-sharing websites, President Jeff Myers of Godbeat.tv says consumers will not have to worry about content.
