FBCN Sports Outreach and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be teaming up once again to conduct the second annual “Winning Edge” summer football camp at First Baptist Church Naples Monday, July 27 – Thursday, July 30.

The Winning Edge football camp is a non-padded camp open to students ages 7–14 and will focus on four important aspects of athletic development: Heart, mind, body and soul.

The camp is designed to develop the necessary techniques and fundamentals needed in the competitive environment of athletics. The Winning Edge camp will develop the entire athlete. The camp will feature activities designed to enhance physical skills for each position as well as specific positions, daily lessons on proper sports nutrition, “Football 101” sessions to teach the basic game and daily devotionals led by FCA huddle leaders. The camp will be held from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, July 27–July 30 and will include three age divisions: 7–9, 10–11, and 12–14-year-olds.

FBCN Sports Outreach is an outreach of First Baptist Church Naples that uses sports to develop young men and women teaching them the basic fundamental skills in a variety of sports. Sports Outreach focuses on providing an encouraging atmosphere and character building while participating in competitive sports. The goal of Sports Outreach is to provide a family-friendly atmosphere through sports for all of our surrounding communities.

As “the heart and soul in sports,” the Fellowship of Christian Athletes ministers to athletes and coaches in many different ways, but none more vibrant, growing and impactful than FCA summer camps. What started as a single camp in Estes Park, Colorado in 1956 has exploded into a powerful ministry outreach with camps from coast to coast in America as well as a growing international camp calendar. Now in its 52nd year, FCA camps focus on athletic, spiritual and leadership training. Camp participants are provided with outstanding sports training as well as compelling speakers and opportunities for fun, developing friendships and experiencing life change.
