From Homelessness to Educational Success

Educational SuccessFive years ago, Will Clervil and his family were found homeless and living in the woods by Palm Beach County authorities; however, Will has overcome these obstacles and graduated with honors last month from Jupiter Christian School.

After bouncing between homelessness and foster care, he and his younger brother were placed with Place of Hope, Palm Beach County’s largest child welfare organization. There, during the last five years, he finally found stability, after losing a year of school and protecting his family from the elements and dangers as best he could. His mentor/foster father, Sal Tiano, now provides a home for Will in Jupiter and has watched Will become an All-County athlete in football and wrestling, overcome his educational deficit, re-establish his life and graduate as a Presidential Award winner at Jupiter Christian School. Sal said Will’s greatest gift is his attitude.

Will has an impressive record of community service through Christ Fellowship, Urban Youth Impact and JCS. He plans to attend Southeastern University in Lakeland, and major in psychology or social work.
