A lifelong resident of South Florida, Matthew D. Weissing has been a partner with Farmer, Jaffe, Weissing, Edwards, Fistos & Lehrman, P.A. for five years helping clients with injury cases, insurance disputes and other cases.

He is also a member of the Broward County Justice Association, which seeks justice for Florida’s consumers with the goals of safety and accountability.

 

A Florida native

Weissing attends Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale where he is an usher and participates in the new believer encouragement program. He is also a member of Via de Cristo, an organization that works to inspire, challenge and equip local church members for Christian action in their homes, churches and communities.

Raised in Fort Lauderdale, Weissing earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida and his juris doctor from Nova Southeastern University. He has three adult children and one foster child, all in their twenties.  He enjoys water sports such as wakeboarding, waterskiing, fishing and diving as well as weightlifting.

 

Courage in Christ

A Bible verse that is significant to Weissing is Deuteronomy 31:6: “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you” (NLT).

Weissing shared that in his experience, “So many times God has stepped in and delivered a better result than I ever imagined.”
