New Prayer App Invites God into the Action

Prayer AppThis may shock you, so hang on. According to many theologians, Biblical research reveals that prayer does NOT change things. Now, please catch your spiritual breath and allow for a short explanation.

Praying goes beyond a presentation of problems and troubles. Praying does something else. Biblical prayer asks for God to come on the scene and activate His goodness.

The first request of The Lord’s Prayer is “Thy will be done on earth as it is done in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Without asking for His will to be done, God is shut out of the game and kept on the sidelines, and His will might not be done. In that case, evil may make a terrible mess of things.

Prayer is something like a coach inviting the best, most outstanding player to jump in the game and do His thing. Prayer invites God Himself into the action. That’s what we want. That’s what we need. So, prayer doesn’t change things, God does, in response to our prayer.

Our prayer can be simple, stumbling or sublime. But our true humble, believing, fervent prayer brings God and His tremendous power on the scene. If we ask for Him, He really is a very present help in time of trouble. (James 5:16, James 4:2, Isaiah 45:19, Psalm 107:17-22, Psalm 46:1, 2).

That’s why, in today’s world, you and I are desperately needed…to pray.

What to pray

But, sometimes we don’t really know what to say, or what to pray for the need of today. When facing a loved one’s problems, a desperate hospital case or an unexplainable torrent of raging emotions, what do we say? What do we pray?

There’s help to know what to say and what to pray right on your iPhone, tablet or computer. It’s a new app called Share-A-Prayer App (www.shareaprayerapp.com), and it’s free!

“This application will enable Christians far and wide to seamlessly share personalized prayers with just a few simple swipes on their smart phones,” says the originator Joe Bellissimo. “Share-A-Prayer is truly a labor of love for me and I’m thrilled to be a part of a project that will impact so many people on a personal level.”

A way to share

Today-Christians who deeply believe we need to pray-forward can share a prayer and an appropriate, insightful special message with friends, family and loved ones by using www.shareaprayerapp.com in a text message, social media and/or email.

In the app, there are different sections to meet most any occasion. The app is free and some categories are free; however, other categories may be accessed with an in-app purchase of 99 cents. It could be a prayer or special message for a birthday, a wedding, a graduation, an operation or hospital stay, or something else.

If you are a prayer too, I think we agree, all those occasions need God on the scene. We want Him. And then, also, our loved ones need to hear from us personally and feel that we are praying to God for them in their time of challenge or special joy. Yes, we need God’s touch, and we need one another.

A personal touch

An added unique touch in the app is possible by uploading your personal photos. Then we can add a choice of frames and even filters in the app. Try it and touch a life in a special way today.

So, whether you are a known intercessor people seek out to pray for them or a quiet, closet prayer warrior, www.shareaprayer.com could be a very special weapon in your hand to truly make a difference in someone’s life.

The truth is God is desperately needed in our lives. Our prayers are His invitation to come and work His goodness. John Wesley, the founder of Methodism said, “It seems like God is limited by our prayer life; He can do nothing for humanity unless someone asks Him to do it.”

Someone you know needs God’s touch in his or her life today. Will you pray?
