Santa Claus Visits Local Hospitalized Children

IMG_0036 (1)As Santa Claus enjoys his summer vacation and the warm South Florida weather, he visited hospitalized children at Palms West hospital in July.

The visit was courtesy of the Believe in Santa Foundation. Santa spends quality time with each hospitalized child in an effort to brighten their day, and help them forget about the reason they were admitted in the first place. He delivers presents, poses for photos, listen to Christmas wishes and speaks one-on-one with each child.

Keith Carson, founder of the Believe in Santa Foundation said, “Our Organization helps children in need any time of year with visits from Santa due to a child living in poverty, being the victim of a crime, a disaster survivor, hospitalized, terminally ill, or the child of one of our brave military servicemen or women.”

Carson just returned from Branson, Missouri, where he joined 800 professional Santas for Discover Santa 2016. During the event, he was presented the Santa’s Heart Award for National Group Santa of the Year by the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas.
