Women Gather for Prayer on September 23

women-prayerNeed Prayer? Need forgiveness? In our society today, who doesn’t? On September 23, Nancy Demoss Wolgemuth and Revive Our Hearts is hosting a live simulcast prayer event for ladies only starting at 7 p.m. Join women all over the U.S. for a three-hour intense prayer event.

It’s an opportunity to get real with God, get honest with ourselves and get connected with thousands of women nationwide for fervent prayer and healing. More than moms, more than wives, we are daughters in Christ, and this is an opportunity to come together as women of Christ and pray like never before.

This live event will be broadcasting from Indianapolis with an emphasis on five categories: the world, families, personal, churches, and our nation. Each segment will be led by a different keynote speaker.

Local groups

There are also several local women’s groups and churches who are gathering together locally to participate in the prayer event.  These include, New Life Romanian Baptist Church, in Hollywood, Pines Baptist Church in Pembroke Pines, Lighthouse Community Church in Dania Beach, Mount Hermon Community Baptist in Sunrise, Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, Iglesia Bautista De Pompano, First Church West in Tamarac, Calvary Chapel of the Palm Beaches in Green Acres, and others.

About prayer

God’s word says “If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.  For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them” (Matthew 18:19-20). Just imagine what you can accomplish with thousands of people coming together to worship our Lord and Savior. God can do anything. He is our healer and redeemer. If you’re still not convinced, let me show you another Scripture to put your mind at ease. “A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple braided cord is not easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

Let’s uplift each other as women. Build each other up and not tear each other down.  We live in a very different world these days.  More than ever the pressure is on as women to strive for excellence.  How can we do that without God? Simple, we can’t and never will.  We are not in control- God is. We are frantically running around yet truly forgetting who is really important. We are encouraged to rest and stay still so we can hear God. Most of us are too busy to even think about God much less spend some time with Him. He wants a personal relationship with you.  He wants to show you he loves you. Will you let Him?

Serving others

Let this be an opportunity to help another out in need, to lift the spirits of that single mother, to pray for another who just went through a nasty divorce. It’s a chance to all come to together and pray for what’s truly on your heart.

The everyday distractions make it so easy to say “I don’t have time.” We give a million excuses why we can’t do something. God should be our first, before anything or anyone else. “Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you” (John 6:27). God sent His son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins.  Not because we deserved it, but because God loves us. Let this be your do over with Christ. Give all you worries, doubts, and fears to Him. Lay it all down at the cross. The possibility of prayer runs parallel with God’s promises. Believe in a mighty way that God will hear your prayer and answer it.
