Supporters of Food for the Poor participated in a Beach Cleanup and celebration sponsored by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly on Oct. 4 at Hollywood Beach. During the event, participants were encouraged to sign up for Food For The Poor’s 5K Walk/Run For Hunger, which will be held at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 at T.Y. ASSIST News Since mid-May over 50 villages in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region have followed the advice of the Hindu nationalist VHP and used the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Act to ban all non-Hindu religious practice.
