BigCardio Raises Thousands to Help At-risk Youth

More than 500 participants, sponsors, volunteers and spectators came out for the BigCardio 5K on May 6 to enjoy a morning of fitness and fun for a great cause. Over 100 volunteers also served at the event, helping BiG Children’s Foundation share their mission with hundreds of people in South Florida and raise thousands of dollars in financial support for at-risk youth.

BigCardio is an integral part of the iMfit2SUCCEED Program expected to launch in September with a mission to make a difference in the lives of South Florida’s at-risk youth. There are hundreds of kids that are on the verge of becoming homeless, getting lured into human trafficking and gangs, becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol or landing in jail because they’re living in high-risk environments, have run away, or are nearing emancipation from foster care and have no parents or a loving support system to guide them into adulthood.
BiG Children’s Foundation has a heart to help big children succeed through education, experiential training, mentoring, resource provision and love.
