Disney’s Night of Joy Sept. 5 & 6

Prepare yourself for a magical weekend when 17 of the biggest names and hottest acts in Christian music take over Magic Kingdom park for two nights of unforgettable performances on September 5 and 6. From contemporary hits to hard-hitting high-energy rock, there’s something for every kind of music fan.

Worship on Friday
Friday’s performances include worship with Hillsong United, Chris Tomlin, Matthew West, for King & Country, Mandisa, Building 429, Matt Maher and The Neverclaim.

Creating a unique musical expression, Hillsong United is an evolving collaboration of pastors, worship leaders, musicians and songwriters giving voice to a generation passionate about God.

They will be joined by Christian music songwriter of the year, Matthew West. A gifted story-teller, West’s album “The Story of Your Life” features 12 compelling songs from the lives of people touched by God.

Also appearing will be Matthew “Matt” Guion Maher, a Canadian contemporary Christian music artist, songwriter, and worship leader originally from Newfoundland, Canada, who has written and produced seven solo albums to date.

These are just of a few many artists performing on Friday. In addition to their inspirational music , you can enjoy your fill of Disney magic too—including classic entertainment and thrilling new attractions like the family-friendly Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster.

Rock out on Saturday
On Saturday, ramp up for an amped night of jubilant tunes and faith-infused music with Skillet, Casting Crowns, Mercy Me, Britt Nicole, Israel Houghton & New Breed, Colton Dixon, Rhett Walker Band, We As Human and 1 Girl Nation.

No matter your preferred musical genre, you’re sure to discover a show you won’t want to miss. For example Christian rock band Skillet, has been nominated for Album of the Year for “Rise” and Rock Song of the Year for their number one hit “Not Gonna Die.” in the 45th Annual Dove Award’s to be held in October.

MercyMe’s hits include “I Can Only Imagine” and “Word of God Speak,” which was named Christian Song of the Decade by Billboard Magazine in 2009.

Then there are new groups such as 1 Girl Nation, also known as 1GN, a Christian contemporary pop rock band from Nashville that released their first album entitled 1 Girl Nation last year and recorded their first music video “While We’re Young.” An upbeat all-girl band is sure to please the young tweens.
