Women Gather For Prayer Summit at Bailey Concert Hall

In 1998, God called a woman by the name of Janet Broling to gather women for a day of prayer at Madison Square Garden in NYC.  She wrote a book about this experience called “What Can One Woman Do”. As God planned it, Angela Santiago, who now resides in South Florida, was part of the worship choir for that prayer summit. Prior to that, God kept putting her in the company of women warriors, women who lived a life of prayer, and women who needed prayer. “I sensed God was birthing in me a new prayer life,” said Santiago. “He was increasing my faith through prayer and His word.”

“Two years later, God spoke to me that I was to gather women for a day of prayer, and call it WINpraying Ministry,” said Santiago. The Women’s Prayer Summit will be held on Saturday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bailey Concert Hall in Davie. “When God first told me this, I thought, When? Where? How? Well, as you know, God rarely gives you all the details when he’s calling you to a task. He takes you through a journey, a process and shows you bits and pieces of the road ahead, toward the call. That road involves your walk with him and His vision. “

His vision revealed that He was building a company of warriors, a sacred assembly and that the time would come to gather them. Santiago said she had to wait for God’s green light, and almost 18 years later, God said, “The time is NOW”. The word says in Hebrews 11:6, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

This WINpraying Women’s Prayer Summit would be a walk of faith.  He said this ministry was to be called, WINpraying Ministry and that acronym – W.I.N. – stands for Women In Need praying. “He began to show me, we women have many needs and he desires to meet our needs now.  Yet, our greatest need should be of Him” she said. Hebrews 4:16-17 says, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.  Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

Santiago said, “I believe the message God wants to send women is that He knows our every need. He has called this summit in response to our need and His desire to meet us there.”

WINPraying Ministry is facilitated by a council of seven women: Rev. Suzanne P. Marcellus, founder of House of Protection, Inc.; Paulette Edwards, who holds degrees in psychology and mental health and has a heart for family therapy; Carolyn Perez, a single mother, entrepreneur and prayer warrior; Lorraine Talamini, who has ministered with Aglow International since 1988; Christal H. Walker, founder of Bible Out Loud Ministries which produces stages shows that bring the Bible to life; and Vielka Escovar, a volunteer with faith-based non-profits and author of “Mascara for the Eyes of Your Soul.”

“I am blessed that God never calls us to work alone,” said Santiago. “I have a wonderful council of Godly women that are helping to make this happen according to God’s plan. Also, there are those that will be ministering that day from different churches and ministries. WINpraying is in its infant stages, and God is teaching us all to follow him and believe Him to get the work done through us.”

Come and join the Voices of Hundreds of Women calling on God, for His will to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven…in our lives, our families, children and the body of Christ.

The council felt the Lord instructed them to keep the event open and free. Women have up until the day of the event to register at www.winprayingministry.com or facebook.com/WINprayingministry. They can also leave a prayer request. They are asking that prayers be made for this event for the leading of the Holy Spirit and all the women who will attend.
